Rice is on the right money. If he proves himself, he will be out on more for longer. He’s proved himself, so that is what will happen. We’ve got loads of pros at his age so paying them more is not sensible as most (nearly all) won’t make it.
There’s plenty of examples of how poor we are run in that list without making an issue out of Rice.
The main one for me is signing Hart but there are plenty more.

Are those just cash figures or does it include benefits?
Spurs, for instance, may own half of St. John's Wood and the houses they hold in their portfolio may be kitted out as workplaces for footballers, allowing them to effectively give their stars luxury accommodation without it appearing on the wages bill (but on their total assets).
They may also run a car pool, where, technically, a player does not have exclusive use of a big, fuck-off motah, but, "for operational reasons", no one else has a need to call on it.
West Ham, on the other hand, may own half a keep left sign on St. John's Road, that is not only mortgaged up to the hilt on pay-day loans, but is pointed in the wrong direction, poorly sited, and only used occasionally throughout the year, but not for which it was originally designed.
They also have, on loan, and because it was cheap, on a pay-per-stain basis, a stagnant pool of run-off from the local industrial estate..

The good news is that since this was leaked, Carroll has been seen up and about again on the blower to Moyes saying he's feeling much better now.

I don't know whether it's true or not, but I heard that the great Bobby Moore never earned more than £300 a week at West Ham. This would be approx £ 4500 today after inflation,which seems incredible for a player of his calibre.
Makes you want to spit thinking about Sicknote Carroll's ill gotten fortune.

Yes. He's only just broke into the first team. He's hardly making the strides that someone like Rio made. He'll get a pay rise eventually but I don't think it would send the right message should he be banging doors down for a new contract during this season do you?
50 grand a year, free accommodation and not having to pay money for hardly anything is very good money for an 18 year old .

Sad to see Hart and Carroll earning anything at all. Hart being outrageously poor and Carroll... well it explains why we are still stuck with him. Nobody will ever match that.

If he was earning that for being a kwik fit fitter he might be considered to be overpaid!

So everyone on this site moans about young players earning too much, yet most seem OUTRAGED a 18 year old kid is earning 52k a year and he should demand more?

Hmm salaries leaked just before a march is due to happen against the board for a lack of investment and as someone said 70 million in basic salary.. to me doesn't show a lack of investment. There is no such thing as a free transfer as said by Gold on numerous occasions rings true considering what Zabaleta is on and Evra can't be too far behind him

So, that's why Hart looks so happy on the bench.
On the other hand, Hernandes on the bench looks like his massive wedge is very little compensation for not being on the pitch.

SKIPPER Nobes deserves another 20 grand for his prowess from the penalty spot. He's a proper footballer you know,unlike one or two others on the list. I won't name them as they might go home and start crying to their wives.

The Spurs wage ceiling is meant to be true, it's been talked about quite a bit since Walker leaving for Man City and Danny Rose public moan up about knowing his worth.
They'll have to break it by some way to hold on to Kane and Alli this summer.
